Solomons Inn Resort + Marina

At first I thought it was a little pricey when booking but it's well worth the price. Starting with the staff they were super friendly and helpful. There was 3 of us traveling so they suggested the Murphy room. Beds are very comfortable and the room is very large and clean. Even comes with toothbrush, paste and shaving cream. Another highlight that deserves to be mentioned is the breakfast spread. Plenty of great options and dairy free milk and creamers made one of us very happy I don't recall seeing that often.

The rooms were very clean, and the towels were changed daily which was nice. We weren’t in the room much; but could not get the TV to load. The continental breakfast was a nice unexpected touch, however we wished there was regular height table and chairs to eat at. We thought there was at the beginning of our visit; but maybe they were changed. If we have to visit again we will consider staying again.

An absolute hidden gem! We were a little hesitant to book a room here based on first impressions but we ended up having an excellent stay. The facilities feel slightly dated, but the rooms themselves have been recently renovated. Our room was huge and had a wonderful balcony with a view of the marina. Everything was clean and tidy. Pastor Frank, the manager of the hotel(?) was extremely accommodating and friendly and provided service that exceeded expectations. Emily(?), the bartender, gave great service and conversation during our visit. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It felt as if the hotel was almost empty! More guests and better outdoor lighting would make the place feel alive.

As others have said the wifi is atrocious. I even asked for a room with strong wifi. The in room tv was unwatchable because of lage, it streams from the wifi signal. Similar results with my laptop trying to watch Netflix. That being said the front desk service was impeccable. The two employees I dealt with, check in and out were friendly and helpful. Had a drink and salad at the newly opened Creekside grill and both were great. Location is fantastic. Traveled with our pet dog, large breed, and no problems. Plenty of outside area to walk her. Overall a very nice experience. I'm hopeful the owners and management with correct the wifi and if done will be a topnotch hotel. Will visit again. Recommended with reservation about the wifi.

Price- Very affordable Facility- Pool is huge, great lounge and towels with lifeguards on duty. Small clean gym. New restaurant called Creekside, sad no one was really going there but set up is gorgeous. Next to the waterways. Room- Clean but definitely could be better- found hair in the shower and lounge chair, fridge and microwave is a plus, beds comfy and no bed bugs. You can tell they did try to renovate a rundown hotel (especially if you see the marina level 1 area). They need to change the hallway carpet, it's gross and the elevators lighting panels are dirty. I can see the potential of this place being a very nice resort. Service- Everyone gets a gold star. I do see some on their phones, hopefully they are marketing the new restaurants (pass out coupons or tell guest about Happy Hour specials- promote with events) or answering correspondence but eyes definitely needs to be focused on customers even if they are passing by. If this is supposed to be a resort then make it feel like the destination to be at. Location- Less than a mile to attractions. Check out the marine museum and take the boat tour (AAA discounts). Plenty of great restaurants nearby, we went to La Vela (HH $8 APPS). Overall, for the price range. I was very happy with the accommodation.

Frank was great! He let both of our rooms check in super early since my party left home earlier than anticipated! Gave us plenty of time to relax after a long drive before the event we were attending! Thanks Frank!!!

Solomons Inn Resort and Marina, formerly known as Holiday Inn Solomons about a year ago, it provides a mix of comfort, attempting to become a mid luxury hotel which is situated very conveniently on Backcreek Loop just a 4 minutes drive from Solomons Island itself. The staff is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Kudos to Junae, the front desk lady , always very pleasant and a beautiful big smile as she’ll do or tried anything to accommodate their guests with their needs. The place offers a Wi-Fi, breakfast is included from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 7 AM to 10 AM on weekends offering coffee, outmeal, milk and almond milk, teas slices of cakes individually wrapped and waffles, hard boiled eggs, orange and apple juice and spring waster bottles, fresh apples and oranges and different flavor yogurts. There’s also a microwave and a couple of vending machines which is great if you’re looking for a quick snack from the pool area. There’s a fitness center and a pool with a lifeguard from 9 AM to 9 PM , there’re a lot of chairs, umbrellas and outdoor furniture to accommodate a larger family over outdoor area rugs making it more convenient to walk around under a hot weather around the pool perimeter. A marina, restaurant and outdoor bars are also part of the amenities. The rooms are clean and housekeeping staff are very attentive and friendly. There’re also signs of wear and runed down areas on each elevator that takes away from what you see on the pictures when booking your stay. Pets are welcomed with a fee, and for pet owners there’s a big treasure box on the lobby. Last, there’s an abandoned Tennis court that has seen much better days, perhaps the owners may consider repairing it since it’s a total disaster and set up a couple of Pickleball courts since none are in Solomon’s, that also could increase much more revenues. (That’s my wishful thinking!) I wish I could have given 5 stars ⭐, but under the noted reasons under “Room Details” I just can’t!!

We had a renovated room, the bed was very comfy, the room was very nice the only thing I could say about the room was the area carpet looked old and somewhat stained, which surprised us for a renovated room. The breakfast was very nice for self-serve however I noticed there were not enough seating areas to accommodate all the people looking to have breakfast. A couple of years ago the breakfast was actually in the restaurant and that would be a very nice option for the future. Have to give a shout out to Junia, Not only was she very helpful in making the reservation, but getting to meet her during our stay was very much a pleasure. Thank you, Junia!
